We’re back! We hope you had a fab festive break and are raring to go for 2024. January is always a bit of slow, planning month for Artists’ Tuck Shop so this month’s newsletter is more of an amuse bouche, promising a taste of what’s to come from us this year…
! New Product Alert !
First thing’s first, we’ve got not one, but two (!) fabulous new products for you…
Both of these products are handmade by Edinburgh-based ceramicist Zenda Tan!
January ‘Sale’
Sales (let alone January sales) are difficult for Artists’ Tuck Shop to do…
The products we sell are all handmade with their makers receiving 70% of any sales. The 30% we retain goes towards our running costs which is not enough to pay the sole staff member that we have (me!) We don’t think it’s right to ask any of our artists to take a hit on any of their handmade wares, and likewise can’t afford to take a hit on the 30% we retain from sales, or else none of our other project would make it off the ground.
SO… instead of a percentage discount off, we’re offering a free copy of Make Bake Cook Book and Artists’ Tuck Shop bookmark with any order you make throughout January! You’ll also get free shipping on your whole order! This January ‘Sale’ offer will only apply to you lucky subscribers so be sure to encourage your friends to subscribe and take advantage of this offer. This will hopefully encourage a few more orders at a typically quiet time in the year and also help Make Bake Cook Book reach a wider audience!

Our Pop Up Design Stores will return this year!
We’re looking at dates in March, June, September & December and should have these nailed down in time for next month’s newsletter so keep your eyes peeled!

Art Submissions
For any artists starting looking for fresh challenges this year why not make a submission to our open call?
Artists can apply to submit an edition of existing food-themed works for sale on Artists' Tuck Shop's website and in person market pop ups.

This year we’re looking to launch a new project called Bites!
These are going to be artist-run restaurant nights featuring both art and food on the menu…
We’re looking for suitable venues in Glasgow just now, so if you’ve any leads, get in touch!
