Hello again folks! It’s been a quieter month for us here at Artists’ Tuck Shop and despite that we nearly forgot to do July’s newsletter…. So here it is (in August!) with more news to follow in a few week’s time…!
Our next Pop Up Design Store!
The sixth edition of our Pop Up Design Store will be on Sunday 29 September at Blackhill Bakery again on Dumbarton Road, Glasgow. Full line up will be announced in our August newsletter in a few weeks.
In the meantime, here’s some images below from the last one we held in June and we’ve updated our website with links to each of the makers involved so you can find out more about them!
Register Your Interest for Pop Up Design Stores
For the first time we’re opening up the opportunity to register your interest to stock your work at our Pop Up Design Stores.
We’ve made a simple form to fill out and will be in touch if we think you’re a good fit!
New Product Drop!
We’ve popped a fab new screen print by Paisley-based artist Amy McPherson up on the shop.
‘Mushroom’ is a limited edition screen print on Bread and Butter paper, 24x30cm
"I think the joy I get from making illustrations about food is partly due to the vibrant colour palettes associated with the food, and also due to my being vegan and wanting to share my joy of fresh produce with a wider audience. Bruno Munari’s book Roses In The Salad has massively influenced my practice and specifically the Mushroom screen prints - I created the original artworks by creating ink marks with real mushroom slices, then digitally collaged these marks into a composition for screen printing." ~Amy McPherson~
